This restructuring also enables the team to better support grantees and strengthen communication and fundraising efforts while continuing to reach women across all regions without geographic limitations.
The application process is strictly online, and only submissions made through the official platform are considered. Requests sent via email or partnership inquiries outside the system are not evaluated. This ensures a standardized and fair review process for all applicants.
Eligibility for the grant is open to women aged 18 and above from any country, state, or territory. Applicants are not required to already own a business, as the grant can support starting a new venture, expanding an existing business, or even launching or growing a nonprofit organization, NGO, or specific project. The only requirement is that the proposed idea must benefit women, girls, or families and must be legally compliant.
The grant period lasts six months, during which selected applicants are expected to implement their proposed ideas. Applications are evaluated based on alignment with Giving Joy’s mission, the potential for meaningful social and economic impact, originality and innovation, clarity in the use of funds, and overall feasibility of the proposal within the scope of a $500 microgrant.
