Background
  • Learning Areas

    • Getting acquainted with GIZ corporate design guidelines and learning about enhancing the project’s internal and external visibility
    • Understand the implementation of STVSP projects, particularly pertaining to Output 3 Qualification Development processes.
    • Learn to analyse qualification structures in line with the approved qualification templates for OP, CS, Curricula and APs.
    • Develop skills in conducting a comparative review of qualification packages from the Energy, Water, and Agribusiness sectors
    • Gain experience in assigning International Standard Classification of Education (ISCED) codes to qualifications and ensuring right codes are assigned to the respective qualifications
    • Acquire practical knowledge of generating a standardization checklist for ensuring that the qualification packages meet the NVQF requirements
    • Understand the process of transforming occupational profiles to competency standards to curricula and to assessment packs respectively.
    • Develop the ability to ensure standardization of the qualification packages by;
      • Matching codes across multiple qualification structures to ensure uniformity.
      • Facilitating correct use of verbs (reference; Blooms Taxonomy) in the respective qualification documents (where applicable).
      • Mapping flow & transformation of duties and tasks from occupational profiles up to the assessment packs.
    • Gain insight in understating the summary of competencies (Scheme of Studies) for multiple qualification level documents.
    • Understand the hours allocation system in line with the revised NVQF regulations and link them to the hours allocated to the qualifications from the three sectors.
    • Acquire knowledge of the approved qualification templates and develop general competence to identify discrepancies in the templates used for the qualifications from the three sectors.
    • Learn to extract list of tools, machinery and equipment from the respective qualification package and link it to the tools, machinery and equipment used in the curricula documents
    • Learn to create visual infographics of qualification packages in line with the qualification registration document endorsed by the National Quality Assurance Committee.
    • Acquire knowledge of generating qualification compliance checklist for the qualifications recently developed under the three sectors.
Requirements
    • Graduates who finished their degree within the last 12 months, or in the process of completion (minimum four years of higher education including Bachelors’ or Masters’) in business administration / project management / communications/ development studies, or any other related field
    • Either no comparable experience in the related field or not more than 11 months of internship / job experience after graduation.
