State Bank of Pakistan (SBP-BSC), Lahore awarded CSC Empowerment and Inclusion Program (CEIP) the ‘2nd largest Community Mobilizer Award’ for the period 2018-19. Ms Saira Basharat (Human Resource Executive, CSC-CEIP) received the award from (Managing Director SBP, BSC Lahore: Muhammad Ashraf Khan) at a ceremony held in SBP Lahore Branch on (5/09/2019).
CEIP facilitated SBP in conducting Financial Literacy Trainings in the districts of Lahore, Okara and Kasur by providing them with a large number of clients under this initiative. CEIP has successfully completed two years of NFLP trainings with 100% account openings of clients in this year’.
CEIP conducted 92 sessions to mobilize and educate 2,760 women entrepreneurs in the three districts as part of State Bank of Pakistan’s (SBP) program titled ‘National Finance Literacy Program 2018-19’. The SBP program aims at educating one million people on the following issues:
- Why Save?
- Modes of Investment
- Mobile Banking and Bill Payment
All the 2,760 women trainees have opened bank accounts in SBP approved micro-finance banks. “CSC-CEIP will continue to support state institutions for empowering marginalized segments of the society”, CSC-CEIP representative reiterated while speaking at the occasion.
