    About the Project

    A reputable development organization is implementing the project "Increased HPV Vaccination Coverage Through Strengthening Community Engagement and Policy Advocacy in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa."

    The project aims to increase Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination coverage among eligible adolescent girls through community engagement, social and behavior change communication (SBCC), stakeholder mobilization, awareness campaigns, and advocacy interventions across targeted Union Councils of District Mardan.

    Applications are invited from motivated, community-oriented, and committed individuals to serve as Community Resource Persons (CRPs) and support grassroots implementation of project activities.

    Position Summary

    The Community Resource Person (CRP) will serve as the primary community mobilizer at the Union Council level, responsible for promoting awareness and acceptance of HPV vaccination among parents, caregivers, adolescent girls, teachers, religious leaders, and other influential community members.

    The CRP will work closely with communities, health workers, educational institutions, and project teams to support awareness campaigns, community engagement activities, and demand-generation efforts aimed at increasing HPV vaccination uptake.

    Key Responsibilities

    Community Mobilization and Awareness

    • Conduct household visits and interpersonal communication sessions with parents, caregivers, and community members.
    • Raise awareness on HPV, cervical cancer prevention, and the benefits of HPV vaccination.
    • Address myths, misconceptions, and vaccine hesitancy through evidence-based communication.
    • Promote positive health-seeking behaviors and encourage vaccine acceptance.

    Community Engagement Activities

    • Organize and facilitate community meetings, mothers’ sessions, awareness events, and small group discussions.
    • Mobilize communities for vaccination campaigns and project activities.
    • Support distribution of Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials.
    • Facilitate community dialogues and awareness sessions in collaboration with project staff.

    Stakeholder Engagement

    • Engage teachers, religious leaders, community elders, youth groups, and other influential stakeholders.
    • Support local advocacy efforts to improve community acceptance of HPV vaccination.
    • Maintain strong working relationships with community structures and local leadership.

    Support to Vaccination Activities

    • Assist in identifying and mobilizing eligible adolescent girls for HPV vaccination.
    • Coordinate with vaccinators, health workers, and relevant stakeholders during vaccination sessions.
    • Support follow-up of missed and defaulted beneficiaries.
    • Encourage participation in outreach and vaccination activities.

    Reporting and Documentation

    • Maintain records of household visits, awareness sessions, meetings, and outreach activities.
    • Submit weekly and monthly reports to supervisors.
    • Document community feedback, success stories, challenges, and lessons learned.
    • Support data collection and verification activities as required.

    Safeguarding and Compliance

    • Adhere to safeguarding, child protection, PSEA, and organizational policies.
    • Maintain confidentiality of beneficiary information.
    • Report safeguarding concerns, misconduct, fraud, or policy violations through appropriate channels.
    • Ensure respectful and professional interaction with all community members.
Requirements
  • Education

    • Minimum Bachelor's Degree (BA/BSc or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
    • Qualification in Health Sciences, Social Sciences, Education, or a related field will be an added advantage.

    Experience

    • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in community mobilization, social mobilization, health promotion, education, immunization, or development projects.
    • Experience working with communities and community-based interventions will be preferred.

    Skills and Competencies

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent facilitation and community engagement abilities.
    • Ability to organize meetings, awareness sessions, and outreach activities.
    • Basic reporting and documentation skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Familiarity with public health, immunization, HPV, EPI, or community development programs will be an advantage.

    Language Requirements

    • Fluency in Pashto.
    • Good command of Urdu.
    • Basic understanding of English will be an added advantage.

    • Have experience working with women, adolescents, youth groups, schools, or community institutions.
