Background
  • Organizational Context and Scope

    Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) is a system to track and monitor displacement and population mobility, and it is designed to regularly and systematically capture, process and disseminate information providing better understanding of the movements and evolving needs of displaced populations, whether on site or en route. In recent years DTM has become increasingly recognized as the primary source of displacement and migration data and information source at country, regional and global levels. As result of it worldwide presence, flexibility and interoperability, the DTM is now being implemented in Pakistan.

    One of the core functions of DTM is data collection targeting various types of mobile population and community living with them through variety methods such as face to face and/or telephonic interview. In continuing its efforts on conducting data collection in several several identified locations with various type and high number of migration and mobility, DTM will need numerous numbers of enumerators.

    Under direct supervision of Project Assistant and overall supervision of Project Assistant (provincial Coordination), the enumerators will be responsible for organizing data collection process (such as KIs or schedule for interviews) and conducting data collection process itself. Besides, enumerators will also be responsible for deliverables of following duties:

    Responsibilities and Accountabilities

    • Prepare and/or organizing the data collection process with identified key informant or group of informants.
    • Carry out quantitative and qualitative data collection to identified key informant or group of key informants and respect data collection deadlines.
    • Ensure the accuracy of the data before it being submitted and ensure the data is being submitted on time.
    • Provide update on data collection process and feedback on the challenges in data collection process including data recording and submission.
    • Complete the targeted number of interviews per day assigned by DTM
    • Responsible for integrity and protection of data as by following Client Data Protection Manual.
    • Participate in briefings, orientation sessions and trainings as required.
    • Represent the program professionally and correctly for the assignments.
    • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor
Requirements
  • Required Qualifications and Experience

    • A secondary school diploma from an accredited educational institution.
    • Completed bachelor's degree from an accredited academic institution is an advantage.

    EXPERIENCE

    • Undergraduate degree or fresh graduate are welcome to apply;
    • Having experience on face to face or phone interview for data collection is an advantage

    SKILLS

    • Ability to understand and accurately record respondents' answers.
    • Strong communication skills, particularly for conducting telephonic interviews (preferred).
    • Commitment to protecting respondents' privacy, ensuring data security and confidentiality at all times.

    Languages

    Official languages are English, French, and Spanish.

    REQUIRED

    • Fluent in Urdu is a must
    • Fluent in other languages spoken by Pakistani (e.g. Urdu, Pashto, Punjabi, Sindhi, Balochi) is an advantage
    • Able to communicate in English is another advantage
