  • A reputable organization is seeking applications from qualified, experienced, and motivated professionals for the position of Agri Business Specialist for a development project in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting agribusiness development, strengthening agricultural value chains, facilitating market linkages, and enhancing private sector participation to improve rural livelihoods.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Identify and promote agribusiness opportunities within priority agricultural value chains.
    • Conduct market and value chain assessments to identify constraints and growth opportunities.
    • Facilitate business partnerships among producers, agribusiness enterprises, buyers, input suppliers, processors, and financial institutions.
    • Support enterprise development through business planning, investment facilitation, and capacity building.
    • Strengthen market access and commercialization of agricultural products.
    • Provide technical guidance on value addition, post-harvest management, quality standards, and market competitiveness.
    • Coordinate with public and private sector stakeholders to enhance value chain performance.
    • Prepare technical reports, work plans, progress reports, and project documentation.
    • Ensure project interventions are implemented in accordance with donor requirements and organizational policies.
Requirements
  • Qualification

    • Master's degree (minimum 16 years of education) in Agribusiness, Agriculture, Agricultural Economics, or a related discipline from an HEC-recognized university.

    Experience

    • Minimum 7 years of relevant professional experience in agribusiness development, agricultural value chain development, enterprise development, market systems development, or private sector engagement.
    • Experience working on donor-funded development projects will be preferred.
    • Demonstrated experience in market assessments, business planning, enterprise development, investment facilitation, and market linkage initiatives.
    • Experience working with producer organizations, cooperatives, SMEs, agribusiness firms, financial institutions, and government departments.
    • Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, facilitation, and report-writing skills.
