Security Alert: Beware of Fraudulent Calls Misusing the Name of Pak NGOs

The Pak NGOs community is built on trust, collaboration, and the free exchange of information among development professionals, civil society organizations, volunteers, consultants, and donors. Unfortunately, we have recently received reports of individuals attempting to misuse the name of Pak NGOs to contact members through unofficial phone numbers.

One of our members reported receiving calls from an individual who falsely claimed to represent Pak NGOs. The caller attempted to persuade the member to join a WhatsApp channel and requested that a code be entered while remaining on the phone. Fortunately, the member became suspicious and chose to verify the request before taking any further action.

We appreciate the member’s vigilance and believe it is important to inform the wider community about this incident.

Pak NGOs Has Only One Official Contact Number

To avoid confusion, please note that Pak NGOs has only one official contact number:

03338890823

If you receive a call, WhatsApp message, or any other communication claiming to be from Pak NGOs from a different number, we strongly recommend that you verify its authenticity before responding.

Joining Pak NGOs Is Completely Free

We Never Ask for OTPs or Verification Codes

  • One-Time Passwords (OTPs)
  • Verification codes
  • Passwords
  • Login credentials
  • Access to personal accounts

Pak NGOs will never ask members to share confidential account information. Such requests are commonly associated with phishing and account takeover attempts.

How Official Payments Are Processed

While many Pak NGOs services are free, certain professional services may involve legitimate fees. Examples may include premium advertising services, sponsored opportunities, or other specialized offerings.

In such cases:

  • Payments are requested only through official communication channels.
  • Funds are transferred through proper banking procedures.
  • Payments are made to a bank account titled “Pak NGOs”.

We do not request payments to personal bank accounts or through unofficial channels.

  3. Be cautious when receiving unexpected calls or messages.
  4. Confirm payment requests through our official contact number.
